Precision Mechanic / Mechatronics Technician as Assembly Employee (m/f/d) for Medical Devices

Munich Surgical Imaging GmbH is a high-tech company specialising in fully digital surgical microscopy, surgical imaging and image-guided applications. The company’s first surgical platform for the ENT sector has been praised by surgeons for its outstanding 3D image quality and the integration of 3D imaging with pre-operative data. As a wholly-owned subsidiary of Heidelberg Engineering GmbH, Munich Surgical Imaging has integrated state-of-the-art OCT technology into its surgical solutions and expanded its product portfolio into ophthalmology by developing a fully digital visualisation platform from scratch. 

To strengthen our team at our Munich site, we are looking for an Assembly Technician (m/f/d) to start immediately.

• Primary responsibility for coordinating and organising the assembly area, including ensuring order, cleanliness and adherence to processes
• Assembly of medical technology assemblies in the ESD environment:
  • Assembly of mechanical, electronic and optical assemblies 
  • Rework & labeling
• Assurance of the quality of the assembly
• Preparation of documentation for all assembly activities in the medical technology environment (production orders, work instructions, general documentation)
• Support in the execution of acceptance tests
• Packing suitable for shipment
• Prototype construction for development devices
• Parts disposition from the warehouse
• Collaboration in the preparation of technical drawings, parts lists, change notices
• Collaboration in activities in the PDM system such as transfer of data into the PDM system

• Completed vocational training as precision mechanic, mechatronics technician or in a similar field   
• At least 5 years of professional experience in the assembly of medical devices, optical assemblies or similar  
• Experience in the use of Solidworks or comparable tools preferred
• Basic knowledge of relevant norms and standards 
• Good command of written and spoken English
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office
