Software Tester (m/f/d)

Munich Surgical Imaging GmbH (MSI), headquartered in Munich, is a high-tech company specializing in fully digital surgical microscopy, surgical imaging, and image-guided applications. The company develops, manufactures, distributes, installs, and maintains digital surgical microscopes for the fields of ophthalmology and ENT. As a wholly owned subsidiary of Heidelberg Engineering GmbH, MSI combines its parent company’s long-standing expertise in ophthalmic diagnostics with its own expertise in fully digital surgical microscopy and image-guided surgery. State-of-the-art OCT technology and the integration of 3D imaging with preoperative data are among the outstanding features of its globally distributed product portfolio.

To strengthen our team at our Munich location, we are seeking a Software Tester (m/f/d) to start immediately.

• Setting up and maintaining test environments
• Carrying out verification and validation tasks
• Acting as a link between the laboratory and software development: supporting the introduction of new features through testing and validation on the machine, adapting test set-ups, and providing feedback on functionality and usability
• Analysing and reviewing product-specific requirements
• Designing and specifying test cases for medical devices and software systems
• Execution of test cases
• Formal documentation of test results
• Documentation and tracking of non-conformities
• Preparation of verification documentation required for the approval of medical devices
  
  This role requires on-site attendance of at least 80%.

• Relevant IT training (e.g., IT specialist) or comparable qualification (including career changers with the appropriate IT aptitude and practical knowledge)
• Proficiency in using internal testing tools; basic knowledge of command-line commands
• Basic understanding of relevant medical device standards (e.g., IEC 62304, ISO 13485, ISO 14971)
• ISTQB Certified Tester (Foundation Level) are a plus

• Independent and structured approach to work
• Strong technical aptitude and enthusiasm for innovative technologies
• High commitment to quality and a strong sense of responsibility
• Very good German and good English skills
• Good knowledge of Microsoft Office
